Honestly, I'm probably just about as midwestern as they come. I crave a bowl of chili on a cool fall day, a county fair in the middle of July, and come from a household where anything made in a 9x13 pan doesn't last too long on the counter. I was born in Iowa, but have lived in Indiana for most of my life. I like to think I have two home bases.
I'm married to my farmer husband, and we have three children who fill our lives with all sorts of emotions, but joy being the biggest and best. I wouldn't trade them for the world.
I think 2006 was the year I fell in love with photography. I was in college, taking my first formal photo class. While digital photography had emerged, film still ruled. So, there I was, using a fully manual 35mm camera, processing my own film, and developing my own prints in the darkroom. It was magical.
Although I switched to shooting digitally a long time ago, creating crisp, clean photography brings me so much creative joy. And I love shooting for all sized businesses, big or small. I can't wait for the chance to take photographs for you.
